Kody Technologies Two-Year Crash

and Traffic Ticket Protection Plan

1. Overview

The Kody Technologies Two-Year Crash & Traffic Ticket Protection Plan (“Protection Plan”) is a complimentary benefit automatically provided to customers who purchase qualifying Kody Technologies lighting products (“Kody Lights”).

This plan provides added confidence and peace of mind by covering:

  • Crash Protection: One-time replacement if your Kody Light is damaged in a vehicle accident.

  • Traffic Ticket Protection: Reimbursement for tail lighting-related traffic tickets.

Coverage is valid for two (2) years from the original purchase date.

2. Eligibility

Coverage automatically applies to eligible products purchased:

  • Directly from Kody Technologies or an authorized reseller.

  • By the original purchaser (coverage is non-transferable).

Proof of purchase is required to validate claims. Eligibility will be verified using Kody Technologies’ sales history records.

3. Coverage Details

A. Crash Protection

If your Kody Light is damaged or destroyed, we’ll

  • Cover up to $250 of the cost of a replacement light—no refunds or cash payouts.

Required proof of incident:

  • Photos showing the damaged Kody Light and the area of impact

  • A brief description of what happened

  • A copy of a police report, insurance claim, or other credible documentation (if available)

B. Traffic Ticket Protection

If you receive a traffic citation related specifically to lighting visibility, functionality, or compliance while your Kody Light was installed and working properly, Kody Technologies will:

  • Reimburse up to $100 of the citation amount, once per customer during the 2-year term.

Required documentation:

  • Copy of the traffic citation

  • Proof that the Kody Light was installed and operational at the time

  • Proof of payment of the ticket (receipt or payment confirmation)

4. Exclusions

This complimentary plan does not cover:

  • Damage from misuse, alteration, or improper installation

  • Normal wear, corrosion, fading, or cosmetic issues

  • Theft, loss, or intentional damage

  • Tickets unrelated to lighting visibility or compliance (e.g., speeding, parking, registration)

  • Indirect or consequential losses (e.g., towing, downtime, insurance increases)

5. Claim Submission Process

All claims must be submitted within 60 days of the incident or citation. Include:

  • Proof of purchase

  • Required documentation listed above

  • Your full name, shipping address, and contact information

Submit claims through our Contact Us page or email customerservice@kodytechnologies.com.

Kody Technologies will review and respond to all claims within 10 business days.

6. Limitations of Liability

This Protection Plan is a free customer benefit and is not an insurance policy or extended warranty. Kody Technologies’ liability under this plan will not exceed the original purchase price of the covered product or the specified reimbursement limit, whichever is less.

7. Modification or Termination

Kody Technologies may modify or discontinue this plan at any time. Customers with documented purchases prior to such changes will retain coverage under the terms active at their purchase date.

8. Governing Law

This Protection Plan is governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
