Kody Technologies - Add-On Plate Holder
Keep your license plate seen using the Kody Technologies bike rack license plate holder and light. The license plate holder fits cleanly onto Kody Technologies bike rack lights and is manufactured using the same rugged and durable materials Kody products are known for. Faux marketing Kody Plate not included.
This is an "Add-On" accessory plate holder designed to be added to a Kody lights. For the Medium and Large Size plate holders we do offer side and center mount options. If you have a preference please let us know. We also offer a stand alone Pivoting Plate Holder designed to mount directly to your bike rack and for use in both the bike loaded (down) position and stored (up) position. .
This product does not include any brake, tail or turn signals or a mount to your bike rack.
We offer a few bike rack license plate holder options, one for each of our Kody Light sizes

License plate light holders, this adds an extra bracket and plate light
- No Plate Light: No plate light or plate light bracket will be included.
- Add Plate Light: Our plate light holder positions the plate light above the plate and keeps if visible at night.
Bike Rack License Plate Light Option
Bike rack license plate lights are needed when driving at night time or in bad weather. It lights up your plate so it can be easily seen. This light can be powered in two ways. When purchased with a Kody Light we add a two pin connection from the main trailer cable. If purchased separately or as an upgrade it can be powered with a trailer splitter and an SAE 2-Pin extension cable from the vehicles trailer connection. Please contact us if you have questions.
Here are some things you want to know before purchasing this bike rack license plate holder.
- We do have aluminum plate holder options which were designed for aluminum bike racks. If you're interested please reach out to us directly.
- The license plate mounts to the plate holder using the top or bottom holes of your license plate depending how you mount the holder.
- The license plate holder fits many but not all decorative plate frames.
- The plate mounts using M6 screws (both thumb and Phillips drive screws are provided).
- These mounts can also be used independently but not specifically for a bike rack.

Everything from ordering to receiving the license plate holder and light was excellent. And the communications couldn't have been better. I'll be using it in a couple of weeks when I drive 1400 miles back to Michigan for the summer. Now I will be legal because the bike rack will no longer block the license plate on my truck. No worries of getting a ticket now and my bikes will be better protected because of the lights.
License plates are supposed to be visible in our state. Even though this seems to be rarely enforced with regards to bikes blocking the plate, adding the license plate holder to our rack light gave us added peace of mind. It is well made and looks awesome - highly recommended!
