Care for your Kody Lights so they care for you!

Kody lights are a great addition to your bike rack keeping you seen and safe on the road.  Here's a a few maintenance steps too keep them bright and functioning their best.

  1.  Keep them clean!  Dirt and debris can build up and reduce brightness.  Wash the lights just like you wash your car.  Wipe them down with water, mild detergent and a clean cloth.

  2. Inspect and clean the cables and electrical connections.  They also build up dirt and debris or can get pinched or damaged during use. Verify connections are tight and the cables don't show any wear.

  3. Inspect and tighten screws and nuts.  Road driving is harsh on fasteners on your car and bike rack.  A quick inspection will verify nothing is coming loose.

  4. Test the lights regularly.  Some would say to test every use but definitely once a month, before a road trip and after the lights sit for a while.  Test all the functions to verify the light and each of its LEDs are working correctly.
