Kody lights are the brightest and most durable on the market providing peace of mind when using your bike rack.
 
The rugged, highly visible Kody Technologies LED Rack Light creates eye-catching tail, brake, and turn signals. This light separates the brake, turn and tail lights into independant left and right hand light fixtures.  Each light fixture is 16" wide and provides bright, clear and visible signalling.  The total width of the lights and bracket is just under 33" wide.
 
The lights are installed on our custom heavy duty bracket for mounting to your bike rack.   The lights sets in place centered on the end of the Mach2 bike rack and is strapped in place using stainless steel hose clamps or Voile Straps.  
 
This rack light is designed specifically for use on the QuikrStuff Mach2 bike rack.  Check out our other Kody Lights for QuikrStuff Bike Racks.

Pivoting Light
The Pivot design allows you to rotate the light fixture for use in both the up / stored position and the down / bike loaded position.  This light's pivot design uses a friction hinge and does not require any locking mechanism to hold it in place. To position the light just push or pull the light into the desired position.

With or Without a Mach2 Bike Ramp
We provide two options for the rack mount bracket.  
Without Ramp: Short Bracket to keep the light tucked up close to the bike rack.
With Ramp: Long Bracket for use with the Mach2 bike ramp.  This bracket extends the light position out past and under the ramp.  This allows the bike ramp to be loaded and unloaded with the light in place.  
 
Mounting Method
We have a couple mounting methods for this light.  This light installs using the same method as the bike tray add ons but is centered between the tray mounts making space for the ramp when used.  The light can be clamped in place with either Voile Straps or Metal Hose Clamps with rubber shielding.  This mount is very rigid and holds the light in place very securely. 
Two Voile Straps:   The two Voile straps allow for quick removal and relocation when adding or removing bike trays. 
Two Metal Hose Clamps:  The two metal hose clamps have a rubber coating to protect metal surfaces and to look nice.  This option creates a more secure and permanent install.

Cable Lengths
We offer three cable length options.  The cable lengths include Short (70"), Long (116") and Extra Long (164").  The Short cable will work in most applications using a standard bike rack with up to four bike trays.  Please see our FAQ page for information regarding how to select the right cable length for your rack set up.  
 
Vehicle Connections and Reverse Light
For this option, choose between a standard four pin, seven blade connector or seven blade with reverse lights.
Four Pin Connection: Comes with a standard flat four pin trailer connector and powers tail lights (including plate lights if added), turn signals and brake lights.   
Seven Blade Connection: Upgrade to the seven blade connector option. This adds a heavier duty cable, a seven pin connector which can power reverse lights and a license plate light connector (we call it plate ready).  Choose the correct connection to eliminate the need for adapters and prepare for future upgrades.  Seven blade is required for reverse lights.  
 
Double 16" Light Options 
There are three double 16" wide light fixture options available:
Basic brake/turn/tail light, red lens
Basic brake/turn/tail light with built in reverse, clear lens with red LEDs and white reverse lights

Each light option is very bright and will help you be seen on the road.  Reverse light requires a seven blade trailer connector.  
 
License Plate Holders
License plate holders can be ordered separately on our plate holder product page.  We don't normally recommend using a license plate holder with this light application.  It can be done but might result in issues holding position.  In the stored position this heavier light can sit above the vehicle and in direct wind.  This position is where we are concerned with it holding position at freeway speeds.  Please reach out and we can discuss your application.  Here's some information on our plate holder options.  
We have three options for plate holders and a plate light.  Please see the list below to understand each option.   
No Plate Accessory: I just want my light and nothing to do with any license plate holders.
Plate Light Only: Add Plate Light and Plate Light Connection to connect and mount onto the QuiKrStuff plate holder.
Plate Holder - No Light: Plate holder with no electrical connection or light. This includes a bracket mounted to the main light which provides a license plate mounting location and plate mount hardware
Plate Holder - With Light: Plate holder with plate light. This includes the plate holder mentioned above as well as a second bracket to install the plate light, integrated cable wiring and the plate light.

Configuration and Pricing Note: The total light set up pricing will not populate or update until you have made a selection for all options.  Once the selections are completed and the price is updated you can adjust your selections one at a time to see how the price varies.
