The rugged, highly visible Kody Technologies 16-inch LED Rack Light creates eye-catching tail, brake, and turn signals. The tail light turns on six of the twelve LEDs at partial brightness. The LEDs animate or sequence left or right for turn signals. And the brake light when activated turns on all LEDs to full brightness, overriding the turn signals. Check out this YouTube Video showing the light in action. The sequencing light does not play nicely with new Fords (2016+) and Teslas. We recommend going with a double light set up or reaching out to discuss. All screws and mounting hardware are stainless steel.
This rack light is designed specifically for the Thule T2 Pro bike racks. This light does not fit the original version of this rack built between February 2016 and January 2017. Check the serial label at the bottom of your rack for the manufacture date. The original rack design has a narrow tray adjustment width of 8" while the newer version were increased to 12". The tray adjustment bracket is the bracket welded to the rack's center beam where the bike tray attaches to the rack. The light can be modified to fit. Be sure to check out our other Thule Bike Rack Lights. We also make a Medium (two 12 to 13" lights) and a Large (two 16" lights). The doubles spread wider across the back of the rack, they're the sizes that offer built-in reverse lights, and they're what we'd point you to for a Tesla or a 2016-or-newer Ford.
Cable Lengths
We offer three cable length options. The cable lengths include Short (70"), Long (116") and Extra Long (164"). The Short cable will work in most applications using a standard bike rack with up to four bike trays. Please see our FAQ page for information regarding how to select the right cable length for your rack set up.
Vehicle's Connection
Choose between a standard Four Pin or Seven Blade trailer connector.
Four Pin: Powered by a standard flat 4-pin connection. Powers tail lights (including plate lights if added), turn signals and brake lights.
Seven Blade: Upgrades to a heavier duty cable and jacket, a 7-blade connector with 8 internal conductors. This creates a clean finish and eliminates the need for adapters.

Pivoting Light
This light uses our friction hinge pivot design. The pivot allows you to adjust the position of the light so it can be seen in both the up or stored position as well as the down or bike loaded position. To position the light just push or pull the light into the desired position. For more information about Pivoting lights please check out our Pivoting FAQ. The friction hinge pivot can have issues staying in position when used in combination with our license plate holder, also discussed in the FAQ. Please reach out to discuss.
License Plates
We have three options for plate holders and a plate light. Please see the list below to understand each option. FYI - the plate holder on the rigid light option might be a tight fit between the bike rack and your bike. The rigid light is set back near the last bike tray.
No Plate Accessory: I just want my light and nothing to do with any license plate holders.
Plate Light Ready: Adds a plate light electrical connection to the main cable, ready for a future plate light upgrade. No plate holder is included with this option. This option is included at no extra cost with the seven blade connection, which already carries the plate light connector.
Plate Holder - No Light: Plate holder with no electrical connection or light. This includes a bracket mounted to the main light which provides a license plate mounting location and plate mount hardware.
Plate Holder with Light: Plate holder with plate light. This includes the plate holder mentioned above as well as a second bracket to install the plate light, integrated cable wiring and the plate light.
Configuration and Pricing Note: The total light set up pricing will not populate or update until you have made a selection for all options. Once the selections are completed and the price is updated you can adjust your selections one at a time to see how the price varies.

I bought the lights for my Thule T2 Pro XTR rack. I couldn't find any other light kit that was made specifically for the rack and was very happy I was able to find the Kody light kit.
The install videos on the Kody website were really helpful. I should've paid more attention to the install video before I placed my order so I would have known to include a note asking for a few of the cable management clips that were recommended. I emailed John after I received my lights and he very kindly sent me the clips.
The install took just a few minutes. It was super easy and very clearly explained in the video.
The light looks great and the mount feels very sturdy and of excellent quality.
Customer service is very responsive and friendly.
I'm very happy with my Kody lights and highly recommend the product and the company.
The kit is made of quality material and the lights are the brightest I've seen. They operate for both turn signals, stop, hazard and headlights. When I first plugged it into my 2022 F-150 Powerboost Lariat with a heavy towing package, it wouldn't send the correct signals through the 7 or 4 pin outlet. John from Kody assisted me, and we were able to place a relay inline. He gave amazing customer service and I feel safer knowing I have fully functioning lights. The light issue isn't a problem on Kody's end, it has to do with newer vehicles. If you look at any amazon or other company lights you will see complaints about this as well. If you email or contact John, he will let you know if your car needs this device.
The Light bar exceeded my expectations in every aspect:

* Design - The LxWxH of the light bar is a perfect fit…It looks like it came with the Thule bike rack

I'm very impressed and satisfied with both the quality and functionality of the Thule T2 Pro Bike Rack Light from Kody Technologies. The materials (including the hardware and wiring) are robust, the light works perfectly on our Outback with the 4-pin connector, and also on our truck with the 7-prong adapter that Kody Technologies provided. The installation video on the Kody website gave clear directions. The light package, shipped from the US, arrived at my house in British Columbia CANADA surprisingly quickly. And the staff at Kody were great to deal with. So yeah, I highly recommend!
I am very impressed with the build quality and design. Definitely sturdy and reliable. The kit arrived quickly and I watched the instructional video so installation was easy (even my dog barked when it heard the opening intro). I really need this light because my car's turn signals are dim and difficult to see, so this light kit adds some real safety. Works exactly as advertised. I highly recommend.
