Kody lights are the brightest and most durable on the market providing safety and peace of mind when using your bike rack.  
 
Most photos on this product page show this light on a RockyMounts GuideRail.  Once we have more Kuat NV photos we will update this page.  This light is positioned at the end of the bike rack and sits past the last wheel lock arm.  Please CONTACT US with any questions. 
 
This light is our medium sized light set which uses two brake, turn and tail lights for independent left and right hand signals.  Each light fixture is 12 to 13" wide and provides bright, clear and visible signaling.  The lights are mounted to our custom heavy duty bracket for mounting to your bike rack.   The total width of the lights and bracket is just under 27" wide.
 
The rugged, highly visible Kody Technologies dual LED Rack Lights creates eye-catching tail, brake, and turn signals. The light integrates cleanly on your rack and uses standard 4-pin or 7-blade trailer connector for easy installation.

Pivoting Light
The Pivot design allows you to rotate the light fixture for use in both the up / stored position as well as the down / bike loaded position.  We have two different pivot designs.  One uses a friction hinge and does not require any locking mechanism to hold it in place.  We recommend and ship this friction hinge on applications without license plate holders.  To position the light just push or pull the light into the desired position.
 
The second design uses a mechanical hinge and thumb screw locks.  We recommend and ship this design for all applications with license plate holders.  To position the light just loosen the clamps, pivot the light into the desired position and tighten the clamps.

Cable Lengths
We offer three cable length options.  The cable lengths include Short  (5'), Long (9') and Super Long (13').   Each cable measures a bit longer than the foot length shown.  The Short cable will work in most applications using a standard bike rack with up to four bike trays.  Please see our FAQ page for information regarding how to select the right cable length for your rack set up.  
 
Vehicle Connections
For this option, choose between a standard four pin and a standard seven blade connectors.  The four pin connection powers tail lights (including plate lights if added), turn signals and brake lights.   Upgrading to the seven blade option adds a heavier duty cable, a seven pin connector which can power reverse lights and a license plate light connector (we call it plate ready).  Choose the correct connection to eliminate the need for adapters and prepare for future upgrades.  Seven blade is required for reverse lights.   
 
License Plates
We have three options for plate holders and a plate light.  The plate option for this light can cause issue with the hinge mechanism.  If you're interested in a plate holder for this light it's best if your bike rack light does not ride above the height of your vehicle where it experiences direct wind on the road.  Please call us if you have any questions.

No Plate Accessory: I just want my light and nothing to do with any license plate holders.
Plate Holder - No Light: Plate holder with no electrical connection or light. This includes a bracket mounted to the main light which provides a license plate mounting location and plate mount hardware
Plate Holder - With Light: Plate holder with plate light. This includes the plate holder mentioned above as well as a second bracket to install the plate light, integrated cable wiring and the plate light.
Plate Holder Caution – If the plate holder sits above your vehicle's height when stored, it can catch wind and cause the friction hinge to shift over time. Always ensure your rack is lower than your vehicle to prevent this issue.
 
Light Fixture Options 
We offer three different medium sized light fixture options;
12" Basic brake/turn/tail light, with a red lens
12" Basic brake/turn/tail light, with a red lens, Plus added reverse lights
13" Basic brake/turn/tail light with built in reverse, red lens for signals and white lens for reverse lights.
Each light option is very bright and gaurantee you're seen on the road.  Reverse light requires a seven blade trailer connector.  
 
Configuration and Pricing Note: The total light set up pricing will not populate or update until you have made a selection for all options.  Once the selections are completed and the price is updated you can adjust your selections one at a time to see how the price varies.
