Kody lights are the brightest and most durable on the market providing peace of mind when using your rack. Level up your safety to avoid accidents and stay safe on the road.
The rugged, highly visible Kody Technologies 16-inch LED Rack Light creates eye-catching tail, brake, and turn signals. The tail light turns on six of the twelve LEDs at partial brightness. The LEDs animate or sequence left or right for turn signals. And the brake light when activated turns on all LEDs to full brightness, overriding the turn signals. Check out this YouTube Video showing the light in action. The sequencing light does not play nicely with new Fords (2016+) and Teslas. We recommend going with a double light set up or reaching out to discuss. All screws and mounting hardware are stainless steel.
This rack light is designed specifically for the Thule EasyFold XT bike rack.

Installation Instructions (PDF) · What the install actually involves
Be sure to check out our other Thule Bike Rack Lights. We also make a Medium for the EasyFold (two 12 " lights). The double spreads wider across the back of the rack and it's what we'd point you to for a Tesla or a 2016-or-newer Ford.
Cable Length
Every EasyFold light comes with a 70" cable. It's sized for the EasyFold XT, so there's nothing to choose. It runs from the light, along the rack, to your vehicle's trailer plug.
Vehicle's Connection
Choose between a standard Four Pin or Seven Blade trailer connector.
Four Pin: Powered by a standard flat 4-pin connection. Powers tail lights (including plate lights if added), turn signals and brake lights.
Seven Blade: Upgrades to a heavier duty cable and jacket, a 7-blade connector with 8 internal conductors. This creates a clean finish and eliminates the need for adapters.
Not sure which connector your vehicle has? See our Trailer Wiring & Connector Guide for help.
License Plates
We have four options for plate holders and a plate light. Please see the list below to understand each option. For more information on our plate options please check out License Plate Holders and Plate Lights. The plate holder varies between the different main trailer light set up.
No Plate Accessory: I just want my light and nothing to do with any license plate holders.
Plate Light Ready: Adds a plate light electrical connection to the main cable, ready for a future plate light upgrade. No plate holder is included with this option.
Plate Holder - No Light: Plate holder with no electrical connection or light. This includes a bracket mounted to the main light which provides a license plate mounting location and plate mount hardware.
Plate Holder with Light: Plate holder with plate light. This includes the plate holder mentioned above as well as a second bracket to install the plate light, integrated cable wiring and the plate light.
Reviews
This is absolutely a first class light system,, with very strong LEDs that are easily visible in daylight. The metal bracket fabrication is substantial and precisely crafted. Honestly, it feels very old school, and that's a good thing. You don't often find this quality in aftermarket accessories.
Installation was very easy. Just carefully read the instructions and you are on your way.
John responded to my pre-purchase questions quickly and clearly.. I highly recommend this item. Worth the money to protect your rack and those expensive toys!.
Order was received in perfect condition. Very good instructions for installation, which was easy and fairly quick. The light is well-made, highly visible, and seems exceptionally durable. We did not realize how much our E-Bikes hid our brake and turn lights, plus our license plate. This is a great solution for safety and license plate display. We are very pleased with this purchase.
Excellent design and well-built product. Installation was straight forward on my Thule EasyFold bike carrier, and operation was literally plug-and-play; all the light functions worked perfectly when I plugged the wiring harness into the trailer connector on my vehicle. I am very glad I selected this Kody Technologies Bike Rack Light from the options I considered.
I am delighted to have the peace of mind that my bike carrier light will be seen. I am impressed with the design and quality of the mount. John was very helpful in guiding me through the decision process and advising me on the best electronic device to integrate the LED light with my vehicle.
Just wow! The customer experience was fantastic. The seller was very friendly and the service professional. Very fast delivery and the product is top quality and look very sturdy. I recommend this setup to everyone! Thank you so much!
